Cultural Center - a showcase of the city
To sum up the current activity of the Center, one can say at the moment - children, teenagers as well as adults, more and more often, instead of sitting at home in front of a computer or TV, they come to us - to the Cultural Center. People who, in search of attractive leisure activities, travel to other cities, appreciate our proposals more and more often. It is thanks to, among others, entering into a modern base that we could significantly enhance the cultural entertainment and recreational offer in our city and region.
In addition to the previously existing sections, interest circles, and bands, new, interesting forms of communing with culture, entertainment and recreation were created. A wide range of teaching, entertainment and recreation is being implemented. Our Show Room very often in the afternoon hours turns into a concert or theater hall - there are didactic classes for schools in the field of classical music or theater.
In addition, we offer classes during which you can polish your dancing, music, theater, art, photographic skills, and you can also play chess with us.
We also have a wide range of recreation - there are fitness classes, yoga, aikido, tai-chi. Every day
over 600 children, adolescents and adults currently benefit from various types of activities and this number is constantly growing.
Our cinema operates seven days a week, and even though it does not cooperate with any commercial network, it offers news of world cinema with premieres inclusive and achieves better and better economic results.
The offer of the new Cultural Center is already beyond the framework of the commune or poviat. On the stage of our Center we had the honor of hosting recognized stars representing various branches of art - theater, cabaret, classical music, jazz: Wiesław Komasa, Justyna Sieńczłło, Andrzej Grabowski, Marek Majewski, Henryk Miśkiewicz, Jan "Ptaszyn" Wróblewski, Tim Mitchell, Andrzej Jagodziński, Andrzej Fedorowicz, MoCarta Group, Edyta Geppert, Artur Barciś, Neo-Nówka cabaret, Marcin Daniec, Ryszard Rynkowski, Melvin Taylor, Felton Crews. There are exhibitions of unquestionable authorities in the field of photography, graphics, sculpture and painting - one of them, entitled "Paris-Tokyo-Grodzisk", was an international exhibition, where artists from France and Japan presented their works - Anna Pabis Guilaume and Tomoko Ober.
From the beginning of its activity, ie from June 28, 2008, over one hundred significant events took place here, from intimate concerts diversified stylistically, through vernissages, to international conferences.
As for the nearest future, we plan to expand the program offer in line with the expectations of the recipients. The inclusion of companies into our business causes that our program offer becomes fuller and even more attractive. We have initiated series of concerts of classical music, small theatrical forms, cabaret evenings, and a series of jazz concerts.
The Cultural Center has become a kind of showcase of our city. As an extremely representative place, it is the center of official meetings of high-level diplomatic and business circles. As for guests from abroad, they visited us, among others State Governor of Santa Catarina
in Brazil, Prime Minister of the Land of Brandenburg, Ambassador of the United Kingdom UK.
The Cultural Center in Grodzisk Mazowiecki has the potential to become a cultural axis in the near future, integrating the widely understood creative environments of the whole of Western Mazovia. And then all inhabitants of our region will definitely benefit.
We cordially invite you,

Gallery of Folk Instruments
The Folk Instruments Gallery is the only collection in Poland (and maybe in Europe?) Of about 1000 instruments, disturbances, and old and contemporary music toys - hence the names of folk.
The collection is subordinated to the Slavic folk culture - unknown, exotic, not discovered for tourists to this day. This is the only place in Europe where the instruments lie in sight and in hand ... You can play on Jewish cymbals, coffers, basses, Polish harmony. You can hear the sound of a hurdy-gurdy, a bitch and the most Polish instrument .... pierdzie. And sightseeing is a contact with history, geography, music, often ended with joint music making on instruments "which the world has not seen" ........
In the rooms adjacent to the Folk Art Gallery there is a permanent exhibition of contemporary painting - "LANDSZAFT GALLERY" and a small museum of paintings, details from the period of Mrs. Dulska.
At the Gallery, on the initiative of Ms Katarzyna Kania, the Kindergarten Club "Bartek" was created with an artistic profile. This is a combination of the Folk Art Gallery, Picture Gallery and Kindergarten Club (physically) together in one place. Because communing with art (ie a collection of about 1000 instruments and other exhibits) and the use of these goods by children in everyday activities, promotes sensitization to art, stimulating imagination, creating their own ideas, not to mention the rich knowledge of the instruments themselves.

Grodziski Sports Club "Pogoń"
Grodziski Klub Sportowy "Pogoń" was created in the summer of 1922 on the initiative of local enthusiasts, under the leadership of Henryk Poczekalenicz, who took the office of president. Although from the very beginning football reigned in the club, in the interwar period also athletics, tennis and table tennis, weightlifting, ice hockey and even boxing were also practiced.
Grodziska "Pogoń" from the beginning was closely related to the city. The club enabled the development of sports passion for the local youth, but it was also a meeting place and gave the opportunity for social advancement to the most talented members.
Sports activities did not cease even during the German occupation, when underground matches were played. However, just after the end of the Second World War, "Pogoń" resumed its activity and in the 1950s it ran as many as 9 different sports sections.
Crowds of grodziszczans on Sunday afternoon came to the stadium at Al. Mokronoskich look at the matches, and then in city pubs were discussed about the latest sports struggles and their main heroes.
In "Pogoń", many well-known athletes were raised in Poland. Before World War II, the most famous are: the Dziekańscy, Katagate, Cemiński, Janorscy, Betlejewscy and other brothers who often practiced several sports. It should be remembered, however, that the first representative of Poland brought up in Grodzisk was played by Władysław Toporek, who played in the national team in the 1950s. Well-known mountain athletes in the 1950s and 1960s were: the Kowalscy brothers, Pęzior, Majewski, Niewiadomski and the tennis brothers of Betlejewscy, J. Jachimski, Garryłowicz, the athletes - Marszałkowska and Okrasa, and the hockey brothers Godelewscy, Surała, Krygier and others.
Starting from the '70s in' Pogoń 'football is unquestionably reigning. Other sports disciplines have been transferred to new independent sports organizations. In recent years, the club brought up representatives of Poland: Władysław Dąbrowski, Waldemar Tumiński, as well as well-known league players such as Andrzej Szczepański, Krzysztof Grodkowski and Tomasz Feliksiak.
Especially the last years are intensive upbringing of the youth, who today trains in seven teams in various age categories. The first team of seniors for over a dozen years is fighting for entry into the third league, being in the nineties three times a step away from promotion.
Currently, after the autumn round our players occupy the fifth place in the fourth league table, but with a minimal loss of 4 points to the leader and real opportunities for promotion. Maybe this time. The more so because in June 2006 the grand opening of the modernized stadium will take place. During which, among others, a match will be played with the Austrian fourth league team F.C. Weiz, who represents the partner city of Weiz and has already hosted our team in a 1: 2 defeat. It promises to be an interesting confrontation.
